Christmas 2002
Home Up Christmas 2004 Christmas 2002 Christmas 2001 Christmas '01 Part 2

Continuing the tradition, The Mastersons and the Dodds joined forces for our annual Christmas Party at Pleasant Plains.  This is a partial first posting since we have sooo many pictures.  I'll put them up quickly and go back to add names soon (I hope).

Okay, these first two pictures were from earlier in the month, but they "look" the part of Christmas.  And, it did snow on Christmas day, right?

We start with a "few" pictures of friends/family with many more for all those interested - I can burn a CD of them.

Good food, and good friends.  It was nice.  Many from Randall Court, including the new owners of the place!

And, there were a few kilts around, as usual.

Then the music started.

For the first time in 32 years (!) my old group played in front of a live audience!  Instruments and roles have shifted a bit, but many of us are here (we missed Ken Eaton and Chris Brown), but the rest of us carried on.

The (New) Irish Potato Famine: Bob Showacre, Les Weller, Philip Dodds, and Sue Dodds (helped by Seamus Kennedy and Jim Hollan).

Then, as traditional at PPF, the Four Cool Guys from Annapolis held forth.  Jim Hollan, Philip Dodds (in my new Weymss Kilt), Seamus Kennedy, and John Masterson.

John's daughter, Joanna, does the sword dance with Greg and Peter O'Brien's piping.

Thereafter, Neil Harpe and my nephews Cory and Yann, and my brother Nat played away.  Then Chris Hough adds accordion, and Joe Evans plays banjo and guitar (he's also a great fiddle player).  And others join in.

More to follow!
