Farm Views

Welcome to "ALPOE" (A little piece of Eden). Pleasant Plains is about 150 acres, nearly all of it fronting on Ridout Creek. Hollywood Farm, nearly the same size, abuts Pleasant Plains and is owned by my sister.

This is a growing collection of views of the farm. The house is in the box below. Ridout creek runs along the farm on the left and connects with Whitehall Creek, then Whitehall Bay, and the Chesapeake Bay. Note the Bay Bridge upper left corner.

In this view you can see the house, the irrigation pond, and sod fields. The wetlands to the right of the house was navigable in the 19th century, we think. There were outbuildings and a roadway leading down to the water where it is now swamp.
