The old plumbing needs a rest. As does the floor. Note the
old poplar studs and the amount of rot.
Here you can see the new beam (see The Main
Beam project) and how the old studs had rotted out. These will
be sistered before close up. |

| Here you can see that the whole bathroom has been torn out
along with all the rotted studs.

| This is a "before" picture of the half-bath window
that was punched in some time in the early 20th century.
Ugly. We can do better than this. |

| Here is the "after" picture (ignore the left over
diagonal piece if you can). Note the trim now is smaller and is
beaded (inside), following the pattern of the house. The apron is
now a miniature version of the the main windows.
Much better proportions, don't you think? (Now scratch your chin
thoughtfully and say, oh yes!). |
