| | The music room of the house used to be my mother's art studio (Missy
Weems Dodds). It always had a piano in it, so the designer for the room
decided to really play up the musical angle. What followed was a
delightful journey to create the design elements for the room.
| The old marble mantle piece fell down and was deemed
irreparable, sadly. It was badly cracked, paint splotched, and too
hard to deal with.
We needed a new mantle quickly. The plaster was due to start
right away.
Meanwhile, over in the kitchen, the old original wooden mantle was
being ripped out. Aha! Recycle time! Sue and I cleaned
it up, added fluting, and screwed it in. We counted on the magic of
Alex Klymer's artists to make it all right.

One of Alex's many talented crew was Fred
Calleri (more on Fred soon as we gather more pictures and background)
This is a glimpse of some of the work that is now a
permanent part of the fabric of the music room.

| That's my bass fiddle and some music I once played.
Betcha' can't identify it! If you can, send me an email.

| It looked wonderful. In a few months we hope to move
out our restored grand piano. A Baltimore Knabe, about 1895, I
think.
